We’re so excited to host an open-invite introduction to acro yoga - in workshop format - and plenty of time and inspiration to get you playing and moving together in cool shapes and ways! Led by two incredible gals (and professional acro instructors) from our own community @giulia_moves & @lineyde this session will be beginner-friendly, perfect for you to come alone or with a friend, and the perfect balance of playful but also very supported and safe.
Here’s what to expect:
🤸♂️ A detailed introduction: what is acro yoga, being mindful of other’s bodies, how to spot each other, how to safely ‘fall’, and fun warmup games to meet new faces
🤸♂️ We’ll work in small groups, and rotate between being base, flyer and spotter - changing groups throughout the workshop
🤸♂️ We’ll learn at least 4 different acro yoga poses, with some cool photo opportunities too! All are beginner-friendly, with some options to advance if you and your partner are confident & capable.
🤸♂️ A beautiful opportunity for creating connections: we’re trusting, supporting, learning, sharing and creating with each other!
🤸♂️ A really cool demonstration from our pros to show us where we could be if we stick at it!
🤸♂️ We’ll be on soft grass, using spotters, and only attempting acro poses that are ‘L-based’ (one partner lying on ground), so you’ll never be at a high risk of injury
Our workshop is planned for 2 hours duration, but we’re inviting you to stay back at the end if you like for a coffee, yap, and open play! Maybe we wanna try some TikToks, keep practising with new partners, or just cartwheel around - whatever gets your inner kid smiling really.
