Inversions Workshop

It’s no secret that we absolutely LOVE inversions as a playful form of movement, and we’ve received so many requests to create a space where we can share some tips and help you learn how to find your balance in handstands and headstands - led by two gals from our community - @katecrook_ & @danitimotej

In this 2-hour workshop, with space for plenty of chats and snacks afterwards, we’ll walk you through:

  • helpful warm ups & mobility drills you can use at home, to always make this a safe & sustainable practice

  • some theory on ‘how to’ handstand and headstand

  • a broad range of drills, that we will both demo and try together, that get you upside down and finding yourself in balance (for all levels)

  • some more advanced drills, that you can be inspired to advance towards

  • open Q&A and feedback throughout the session, sharing personalised tips to help you

We aim to ensure this workshop provides tips and drills that support you no matter your progress within both handstand or headstand journeys, but assume that - at a minimum - you are comfortable walking or kicking upside down against a wall, and have moderate experience with yoga, pilates, gymnastics or strength training sessions in recent years. This is not a strict prerequisite, fitness comes from all backgrounds and your confidence in your body is the most important factor, but hope this serves as a helpful gauge.
